Perhaps a little too much time. I was able to guess random countries for the last 2 minutes or so until I got the ones I was missing.

Fun quiz, but definitely too much time--I would say take off at least two minutes. Also, you might want to clarify that it's CO2 emissions. A cool companion quiz would be CO2 per capita.

Pretty shocked you've missed Vatican City. Haven't you seen all the smoke that billows out, each time they elect a new pope?

Good thing North Korea shuts the lights off at night, otherwise they'd be on here, too.

Looks like Kazakhstan learned a thing or two from us after Borat's visit.

A more interesting quiz might be CO2 emissions per capita, as meelar suggested. It's really no surprise that these countries are the most polluting, seeing as they're all some of the largest and highest-producing countries as well.

Ehm... why is my comment voted down again? You can't really think I would spell Kyrgyzstan that way, do you? Any Sporcler has had to spell that enough times to learn it...

Surprised Brazil and Indonesia aren't higher...does this take into account CO2 emitted from deforestation, or is it only industrial emissions?

Kazakstan kind of became Russia's wasteland a long time ago. Lots of natural resources there, too. Between mining and leftover pollution from the USSR days, it's not surprising it's on this list.
