Massachusetts has the UMASS minutemen as well. Even though they are terrible at football, they are part of the MAC.
  2. Cricket Fielding Positions
    20
On the list of quizzes I thought I'd never seen make the front page, I have to say cricket fielding positions would be pretty high up there. Nicely done, Sporcle!
  3. All-time home run leaders

Typically horrible ESPN Quiz: lacks imagination, already been done to death, bland and vapid presentation. and adds no value.

I like how it accepts "cow corner". :-)
  5. Promotions into the Premier League

@1516 rather than waiting for ignorant Americans to complain, you could just ignore them when they do. I'm an American who's crazy about the Premier League. Most of my friends are too. It's actually a wildly popular league in the States and growing in popularity. But then, poking fun at Americans will always be popular as well.

Rule of thumb for QB quizzes: always try Gus Frerotte.

This yank got exactly one position right--bowler. And that was purely by accident.
  10. NCAA D-1 Nickname per State

Georgia has the Georgia State Panthers, Virginia has the Old Dominion Monarchs, Texas has the UTSA Roadrunners and Texas State Bobcats, Alabama has the South Alabama Jaguars, and Massachusetts has the Minutemen from UMass. All of which are new to FBS, so I can understand how they were mistakenly left off. Also, Appalachian State (Mountaineers) and Georgia Southern (Eagles) are joining the FBS (Sun Belt) this season, although not officially until July IIRC.
