Surabaya and Sydney are misspelled, though the latter accepts the correct spelling too. I'm also interested to know where your source puts Copenhagen as I think it's just above a million too.

Birmingham. Colombo.

Also, by your critera, Hong Kong should not be included, as a large portion of it lies on the mainland (Kowloon, etc).

Thanks for the note regarding Hong Kong. I've fixed it. As for Birmingham, Colombo, and Copenhagen, they could all very well have over a million residents, but my source (citymayors.com) only lists the top 400, and they are not included in that list. As for Surabaja, that is how my source spells it, but I've set it to accept Surabaya as well.

I went back through the list, and I realized that I had missed Birmingham and Copenhagen, as well as one or two other places. I've added those. For some reason or another, although an alphabetical listing of urban areas on citymayors.com had Colombo at 2.4 million people, the list by size (1-400) did not have it, so I left it off.

How about Montreal? The city, I believe, is all on an island, though the metro area extends to the mainland.

Sorry Adam, no Montreal. I'm finding citymayors.com's discrepancies regarding Colombo rather confusing, but I've decided to add it.
