| @baconstud01: First of all, Palestine is recognized by over 100 countries. Secondly, it is gravely inaccurate to say that "Gaza is in Israel." Gaza is in the (Occupied) Palestinian Territories, which Israel controls to a certain extent, but Gaza is not part of Israel in the way that Tel Aviv, Haifa, and Nazareth are. Gazans are not citizens or residents of Israel, and statistics about Israel do not include Gaza (or the West Bank, for that matter).
@thebronze: Yes, Arabic and Hebrew are both official languages in Israel, but I wouldn't consider Tel Aviv an "Arabic-speaking metropolitan area," as the overwhelming majority of its residents are Hebrew-speaking. Unless the quiz is about "metropolitan areas in countries in which Arabic is an official language." |
