	@cfrs15: Here 'does' is the plural of 'doe', a female deer ('buck' being a male deer), not the third person singular of 'to do'. I agree with jrevenig that this is a really cool idea for a word ladder. One minor criticism though: 'dons' and 'dawns' are only regionally homophones. I.e., while some parts of the English-speaking world pronounce these words alike, many other parts pronounce them differently, with the vowel sound in 'dons' being like the 'a' in 'father' rather than like the 'aw' in 'dawns'. Otherwise well done.

	@bTimeAndTide: Unfortunately, for this type of puzzle, you could probably for each clue, find a region where the answers are not strict homophones. But where I live, dawn and don are pronounced exactly the same. (and the a in father is pronounced ike the aw in dawn).

	@tstenz: really? I'm from MN an I say them the same... I think people sometimes just say things a little differently even when they're from the same region, but in order for fun quizzes like this to work you have to just sort of take that there will be pronunciation differences as a given. This was a fun twist on the format!

	In the UK dawn rhymes with 'or', and don rhymes with 'top'. But then that depends on how you pronounce those two words I suppose!

	@Go_Phils: Didn't you mean to say "No way "dons" and "dawns" are homophones where I live"? The quiz has always said regional pronunciations may differ, in the game notes. Sometimes you just have to open up your parameters a bit and go for something close, or work back to it from following words and say "huh, other people must pronounce this differently", not "other people pronounce this wrong".

	Don and dawn are not pronounced alike here. Pronouncing them alike isn't wrong, but most people won't think of it.

	@sjwiner68: As a verb, 'dun' means 'make persistent demands (of someone), esp. for payment of a debt', whereas 'lien' means 'a right to keep possession of property belonging to another person until a debt owed by that person is discharged'. So a lien isn't exactly a demand for payment so much as it is a temporary penalty for non-payment. Similar in effect, but semantically different, I think. I think done/dun fits the clue better, but it's cool that you found such a close alternative.

	@MagneticNorth: the point of a word ladder is that each answer has only one letter different from the previous one. Neither "ORES" nor "SALE" has only one letter different from "NOSE".

	@caramba: Where I'm from (South Carolina), all of these proposed homophones are in fact homophones. However, even if they weren't, I wouldn't be as upset as all of these provincial crazies who have no idea what regionalism means, or apparently how a word ladder works. Also, some don't help by withholding where "here" is, and by giving examples that would also be pronounced regionally. Awesome quiz, don't listen to the haters. And I love the URL.

	i should really read directions before playing. i kept trying nos and maize but they wouldnt work and i was very confused. i got it the last 15 seconds of the quiz. lawl. and to put in my 2 cents with the argument above don and dawn is the same pronunciation where i live
