There are a lot more black songs I could have included, but I just couldn't come up with enough artists to balance it out!

A suggestion for artist: The Black Keys

: Good suggestion - 2 new entries after 22 plays.

Good quiz! There's also a gospel ensemble called "Sounds of Blackness" who are probably best known for the song "Optimistic."

: The first was a Canadian-only hit (the reason Terry Black didn't make it). I considered the next two, but 1961 - 64 is reaching back past the memories of all but the most fanatical musicologists (yes, I know, we both fit in that category). The last one charted in the UK only, so a little too indie - even more than TV Party.
The White quiz had 12 artists and 12 songs, so I'm happy that I matched that total with this one.

@Caramba: True. Just wanted to see what additional songs you'd add. Planing any other colors? Blue? Gold? Rainbow songs, rainbow artists?
Pink might be somewhat limited.

: Well for songs, I could do Cherry Pink And Apple Blossom White, A White Sport Coat (And A Pink Carnation), Pink Champagne, Pink Cadillac, Pink Houses, Pretty In Pink, Pink Panther Theme, Pink, Pink Shoe Laces and Sink The Pink, Lily The Pink. (that's before I found this amazing list: http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080929135836AAsZWfg). Artists are tougher - Pink (of course), Pink Floyd, Pink Fairies, Pink Lady and I'm stuck.

Love the color quizzes! How about Ariel Pink, Frijid Pink, Pinkerton's Assorted Colors (which later bacame the Flying Machine) and, my favorite, Pinkshinyultrablast?? There's the Flaming Lips classic Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots, Pink Moon (Nick Drake) and, to get really obscure, Pink Flag (Wire).

The band Broadcast also has a song called "Black Cat" on the album "Tender Buttons." It's probably not all that well known, but I knew that one but not the Janet Jackson song of the same name!

Mayday Pararde also has a song called Black Cat, and I knew that one but not Jackson's.
