| megascarp, this is not a silly problem, as you put it, but a desire for accuracy in sporcle quizzes. It is inaccurate to say that France and the Netherlands border (whichever way you put the names around) because the Netherlands borders an overseas collectivity rather than a sovereign nation via Sint Maarten. That's what it comes down to, I know it's pedantic but I don't see why we shouldn't strive for an accurate perception of how things are rather than just accepting simplifications. For the sake of fairness on a quiz caramba, as ever, has the right attitude of not penalising people over potential moot points. |
