| Someonerandom, Myanmar is what the military junta have decided to use and most nations don't recognise their right to rule or change the name, as such the country is often referred to as Burma. I would accept your point if this was in regards to defunct names like Zaire, Kampuchea, Ceylon etc but Burma is still widely in use. As such, I don't think that it is fair that picking a different political standing penalises you in this quiz, especially since the alternative (accepting the name change) implies sympathising with a military junta who are responsible for massive oppression and brutality over the past 20 years. If bonus answers can't be made on mine quizzes, then, as Riko says, it should be made clear in the notes that the quiz regards Burma as Myanmar. |
