| Oman and Yemen are very different for many reasons. First off, even though they're so close, their population centers are on the extreme east and west of the peninsula. Second, as stated above, Oman has loads of oil. Even with their oil, they were still very similar to Yemen until Sultan Qaboos came to power, who is doing everything he can do improve his country. Yemen has also had a history of sea trade, and with it corruption, violence, and invasion, weakening the overpopulated country. |
