If you liked this challenge, see part 1 at http://www.sporcle.com//user/caramba/contributed and note my comments there about the difficulty. You can find lots of other great music quizzes at Rockgolf's contributed quizzes, as well.

I almost got Bilked when I entered the last name of the Stranger On The Shore performer. It wouldn't accept it.
Some really old memory cells got drawn on to get Overture from Tommy & Watermelon Man. Very nice work. But still no love for B Bumble & the Stingers? Heck, they're the first act mentioned in "Life Is A Rock (But the Radio Rolled Me)". Again, not to everyone's taste but I loved it!

@rockgolf - Fixed Bilk. Songs that were considered but missed the short list (too far down charts) were Love Theme From St Elmo's Fire, Movin', Cut the Cake, Brazil, Scorpio, Cool Aid, Jungle Fever, Hang 'Em High, Mercy Mercy Mercy, Born Free, Batman Theme, Taste of Honey, Java, Wild Weekend, Wheels, Bumble Boogie, Hide Away, Topsy II, Mexican Hat Rock and Crazy Frog

Just as well on "Cut The Cake", as it wasn't an instrumental. I'd put Crazy Frog on despite the chart position, as it's one of the very rare instrumentals from this century.

'Java' is too low on the list? But Billboard says Al Hirt's version went to #4! A few other instrumentals that I noticed were missing so far: Perez Prado's cover of "Cherry Pink and Apple Blossom White" (Billboard #1!) Hugo Montenegro's cover of "The Good, The Bad And The Ugly" (Billboard #2) Martin Denny's cover of "Quiet Village" (Billboard #4)
