Very fun and frustrating at the same time. I found myself trying to memorize the order of like 10 countries at a time while thinking of the next one. Well done!

I got the first two right away and when I couldn't think of the third, I tried skipping to the fourth by clicking on it and thought to myself "You gotta be kidding me!" when I realized I HAD to answer them in order. Every time I got stuck, I found myself racing to figure it out since you can't skip ahead. Great concept though! It really kept the pressure on.

Czech Republic ruined everything, I wasted so much time trying to think about what could possibly come between Cyprus and Denmark that I was never gonna get to the end!

Good quiz. Excellent format for it. I found myself "filing" countries away mentally for susequent use when I was stuck on a particular country.

Love the concept, but I feel it needs more time. I can rattle off all 47 (Sporcle-accepted) countries of Europe in less than a minute, but placing them all in specific order? I feel this is more of an 8-10 minute quiz.

: Let's see how people do with 8 minutes. I was comfortable with the 16% success rate at 6 minutes. Some players like to race the clock, though. Please vote this comment up if you like the 8 minutes, down if it should go back to 6.

I like the way, when time runs out, it only gives you the very next country missed. That way, I can bang my head against the wall over and over again.

The most annoying part of this is how other countries keep creeping up. "No, Canada, you're _not_ the first C country in Europe, so please go away now." Happened all the time, and got even more fun when Kansas joined the party... Good quiz, thanks!

WHEW!! Alphabetical quizzes drive me craaaaaazzzyyyy. I had to do it 4 and a half times before I got them all. The first one to really trip me up was Cyprus. I sure dont think of it as a European island when it's surrounded by Asia and Africa. Then San Marino....grrrrr. I'd set the timer at 20 minutes.

@Mayan - That definitely happens to me too. My thought process trying to figure out what came after Malta: "Mauritania...Madrid...Moscow...Michigan...Minnesota...Moldova!" Kind of scary.

I don't think I've ever managed to finish a quiz with one second left on the clock before! The new ones like Kosovo and Montenegro were the ones that stumped me a lot.

Monaco gave me fits for about a minute. I couldn't think of what could possibly fit after Moldova and before Montenegro. And I'm glad you don't let us skip ahead--it would be too easy just to keep typing the same country into one space after another until you get it right.

Yep, definitely liked that you can't skip ahead. Every time I try these quizzes I'm in UEFA mode, so I couldn't understand why Armenia wasn't third in the list, and I know that Ukraine and Wales are the last two UEFA countries alphabetically, so Vatican had me confused for ages! Nice quiz!

Can you accept the "and" in Bosnia and Herzegovina I kept thinking I missed something and wasted so much time til I finally typed it without the "and" and it was accepted... very frustrating.

It's fascinating how evenly the percentage of people getting right answers decreases - there doesn't appear to be any countries that disproportionately stumped people. Cyprus got me for a while. I kept retyping "Czech Republic", sure I had somehow misspelled it.

: The "and" is in there. I have found that if you are typing "and" in an answer, it will reject your answer if you run all the words together without spaces, because the quiz algorithm removes "the", "and" and "a" from the guess then compares it to the answer, with those words removed. If you run the words together, and one of those words is in there, it can't remove it, so the comparison fails.

: Sporcle's Countries of Europe quiz is used for the source of this list. Those 4 are in the Asia quiz.

You can enter the answers in random order on the iPhone app, which completely ruins the point of the quiz.

what? why did i fail after typing armenia? it is a huge country that you forgot. you suck. i was stuck thinking what came before armenia, but there was nothing. you just forgot an entire country. and if you say it's technically the republic of armenia i wish i could punch you in the face

@qbsamoa: Isn't Armenia in Asia? It's east of Turkey, east and south of Georgia. Anyway, calm down! You're gonna burst something.

I can't believe all the people who still insist on saying Armenia, Azerbaijan etc. should be in Europe. All the main Sporcle quizzes us the same source for the countries of Europe and Asia to be consistent. Armenia, Azerbaijan etc are in Asia! You should do the Countries of Europe quiz and the Countries of the World quiz first before doing these other quizzes. It saves us having to answer these questions over and over. Excellent quiz by the way!

and some sources (non-wikipedia and others, like the US State Dept, etc.) list those countries in Asia and some list them in Europe, so Sporcle is fine using the consistent rule of considering them to be in Asia. I've made this comment on other quizzes - it gets tiresome . . .

@qbsamoa Take a pill bro. If your mama knew you were using her computer she'd break her favorite spoon just to give you a lickin
