San Buenaventura should not be included. It is known simply as Ventura. If you're getting technical, San Jose is actually "El Pueblo de San José de Guadalupe".

On the basis that each city is prefixed with "San", is it really essential to have to enter that part every time?

@tomahaha: I suppose that the idea of the quiz maker was to include only the prefix San with the meaning of a male saint, therefore the female Santa isn't considered. I've just found that there is a Santee in San Diego county with more than 50,000 people; it begins with San but as it has nothing to do with saints, it was also excluded.

Burtdoggy --- San Jose may have been originally established as El Pueblo de San Jose de Guadalupe, but its official name now is just San Jose. The City of Ventura, on the other hand, maintains its official name as San Buenaventura. The county is just Ventura, though.
