Maybe accept lost it's wheel? and i think you could seperate the answers a bit more, even if it means taking out the hints altogether.

We sang both the 'got away' and 'took ballet' versions... The music teacher finally compromised with us and told us we could sing our version if we sang their version first. Thanks for the flashback, buschsoccer99!

How can you have sung different versions...the song comes from The Animated Series. Joker sings it in a Christmas special.

@harleenlion: No, it significantly predates the animated series. I remember it as a schoolyard chant while the original 1960s Batman TV series was being broadcast.

In B:TAS Joker sings "Jingle bells, Batman smells, Robin laid an egg, the batmobile lost a wheel, and the, Joker, got, a, WAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY" as he blasts out of Arkham's roof on a Christmas tree, just so everyone knows where these lyrics came from.
