| Very good game. But I always wonder what's the idea behind some codes (postal, license plates, airports, etc.) in many countries. I understand BN = Brighton, because BR was already taken by Bromley. But why IG = Ilford, if IL was available? Why SM = Sutton, that hasn't an M anywhere, if SU was available? Why KA and not KI for Kilmarnock, which would be more mnemonic? Not to mention the completely obscure ones like FY = Blackpool or TS = Cleveland. |
