Fine job, but I'd also interested in the top metros that are ON the Mediterranean Sea.

Seems odd to call Paris a Mediterranean metro.

Alexandria, Barcelona, Athens, Rome, Algiers, Naples, Izmir, Tunis, Tel Aviv, Valencia, Gaza, Marseille, Beirut, Oran, and Tripoli are the ones actually on the Mediterranean.

Two things: 1) Please include the country name when an answer is revealed (but do not force the player to guess it as well.) 2) I have to back Sunnyskates8's comment up to an extent, because it certainly should not have been voted down like it was. The answers to this quiz appears to be including metro area populations. For example, Cairo's actual city population is a little less than 7 million, but when including the metro area expands to (actually more than) 15.2 million. Similarly, Tel Aviv has population of ~400,000 when simply looking at the city limits, but around 3.2 million when looking at the entire metro area. In the instance of Jerusalem, the city's population IS larger than Tel Aviv's, but it's metro population IS NOT. It's metro population, however, may be just large enough to make this list if also including the portion of eastern Jerusalem, but that may take some justification and explanation. PLEASE do not start a political conversation about that here on this comment forum--I just wanted to bring it to everyone's attention as something to think about

I missed Paris because I was thinking cities on the Mediterranean Sea rather than cities in countries of the Mediterranean Sea.
