	@m_i_rite Thanks for the info I changed the name of the quiz to include Canada. I got the source at GQ.com and they had only put America so I didn't think much of it. Boy is my face red.

	"Known for" not "Known of". I disagree with so many college teams being on the list, but I'm not all that familiar with their fan bases, so I won't argue.

	The booing of Santa story is HILARIOUS and only makes me like Philly fans. They booed SANTA! I don't know how anyone could fail to see the pure awesome in that. I quit 5 seconds in when the Jets weren't an answer. I suppose cheering an injury to YOUR OWN TEAMS's quarterback in one of the rare occasions when you actually bother showing up to a game isn't as bad as being 'arrogant' or 'elitist' because you dare to root for a good franchise/school.

	No one seems to know the actual story of why Philly fans booed Santa back in 1968, even though it's always cited as an example of why Philly fans are jerks. Let me explain. The Eagles planned to put on a halftime show for their December 15th game against the Vikings. However, because of a massive snowstorm, the man who was supposed to play Santa was not be able to get to the stadium. Instead of canceling the festivities, the team found a 20 year old fan in the stands who had dressed up as Santa to fill in. When fans saw the drunk impostor of a Santa, they booed him and pelted him with snowballs. So next time you're going to use this story as an example, make sure you get it right.

	Major negative points for not putting the reason Red Sox fans suck. I am a Cardinals fan with no allegiance in the Yankees-Red Sox rivalry and barely any interest in AL goings on until the World Series. When I moved to Boston five years ago from Tennessee, I was excited that I was moving to an apartment less than a mile from Fenway. It didn't take me long to learn how terrible Red Sox fans are and grow to hate the place. Band wagon, wannabe underdogs with a huge payroll, and know almost nothing about baseball. When they won the WS in 2007 they rioted on my street, storming the 7/11 next door to me and frightening the Haitian cashiers who worked their half to death. They had three chants in sequence, which should tell you something about their collective intelligence: "** the Yankees," "** Todd Helton," and "Show your tits." Also, Fenway is a terrible stadium to watch a game in.

	@NinedenLtD, saying Red Sox fans know nothing about baseball is a completely ignorant statement. Yes, since they won in 2004 the increase in bandwagon Sox fans annoy not only fans of other teams but the diehard Sox fans as well, hence given the name "pink hats" by Boston radio. But the diehards are some of the most intelligent in the game and only someone looking for reasons to hate Boston would disagree. As far as the rioting, fans riot after any championship, both in the pros and in college, it's a sad way to celebrate, but it happens everywhere, and yes, thousands of drunk people believe it or not, tend to say ridiculous chants. And to say Fenway is a terrible stadium to watch a game in shows more ignorance in your comment.

	Somehow I feel Missouri and Texas should be on the NCAA lists. I have had my share of rocks thrown at myself and my car when attending football games in Missouri. (Colorado threw snowball filled with rocks but they don't know any better). And several years ago some Texas students almost beat and elderly man to death in the parking lot after Texas lost the game. (I'm a Husker fan if you didn't notice.)

	Good to see 3 of the top 7 teams coming from the state (my mistake, Commonwealth) of Pennsylvania. **** Pennsylvania, especially Philadelphia.

	To the booing of McNabb: It was 30 idiot Eagles fans who have since been shunned by Eagles nation as a whole. And, they were not booing McNabb, but booing the fact that they didn't select Ricky Williams. John Stockton got booed on his draft day by Jazz fans; why is this never brought up?

	Maryland fans are the worst I have ever personally experienced, though Eagles fans are the worst in my opinion. How about the Rays or Marlins, whose fans don't even bother to show up?

	@bmo1616 Maybe you missed the part where I said that I lived less than a mile from Fenway for five years. In my time in Boston, I met dozens of Red Sox fans and attended several games. I never met one with any real respect for the game or any real knowledge of it or its history outside of Boston. This includes a certain writer for Baseball Prospectus that I met at a party once and with whom I attended two games; while he professed a love of baseball, his love of it was a pseudo-intellectual love, somewhat akin to that of other famous Red Sox fans, such as Ken Burns and George Will. In other words, a person who thinks, like you, that Red Sox fans are the most intelligent and beyond the reproach of bumpkins like me from the South and Midwest (you know, where we actually PLAY baseball instead of just pontificating about it). Throw in the experience of other baseball players I've known who played in the Cape Cod League and for the Lowell Spinners and I think you could say that the faux intelligentsia of Red Sox fans may be tied to a broader cultural elitism that exists in part of New England. To be sure, I love Boston and there is a reason I left Tennessee, but baseball fans that I knew there were insufferable.

	speaking of elitists, at least those rich little white kids at Duke are willing to camp out in tents for tickets. Out at Southern Cal, it's hard to get them out of their Escalades except when it's time to go to the mall!!

	@HuskerTan: there's no way Mizzou fans are worse than Nebraska. aside from the Antlers (who are really douchey, and a lot of Tiger fans will agree) we're fairly respectful to most teams and fans other than Nebraska, Kansas, and, to a certain extent, Oklahoma. but being ****s to your rival shouldn't count against fans as long as you don't go over the top, cuz thats the same for pretty much any team w/ a loyal fan base. however, Nebraska fans are notorious for being dicks to visiting teams and fans

	As far as the Eagles fans booing "Santa" not only is DocHalladay34's version true it still isn't the true story, the Eagles were a horrible team and just before wheeling out a scrawny drunk "santa" they announced that there would be a increase in ticket prices for the next season. Also Eagles fans were not cheering Irvin's injury they were mocking Deion Sanders' dancing around like a moron while Irvin laid on the turf. If you want to mention bad fans how about Cleveland Browns fans who threw beer bottles at their own team, or KC Royals fans who cheers while white trash attacked an umpire or Atlanta Braves fans who won't sell out playoff games.

	Although I am proud to call myself a Terp and a huge Maryland basketball fan, I cannot deny that we have some of the worst fans in the country. I have attended every Maryland basketball game for the past three seasons, and I am extremely annoyed with our fair-weather fans. As we limped through the end of this past season, games against ACC opponents were barely half full. Since attendance for students is free, we will often just "scan and leave," to gain attendance points for games we do not actually stay and watch. Plus, many of our cheers do not actually encourage our team but just badmouth the other team, often "you suck." The worst was during the Duke game last year, with constant chants of "F* Duke" and "F* you Scheyer" that my parents said they could hear over the television broadcast. And there is absolutely no need to riot and set bonfires, win or lose. I say that as students of one of the most respected institutions of higher learning in the country, we need to make a concerted effort to show greater sportsmanship, and give attention to our basketball program for the right reasons.

	I have no clue how the Cubs didn't make it on this list. Their fans are not only uneducated in most baseball principles, they also do stuff like throw beer on a player while in the outfield trying to catch a live ball.

	@Bond25'whatever'- that is the main reason I hate Red Sox fans. I live in Alabama and there are a lot of people who claim to be Sox fans but have never lived or maybe even been to Boston(this is the same with the Celtics, Packers, and a lot of other teams). I bet 90% of them weren't fans before 2004. On another note, I find Penn State fans to be quite classy. They came down to Alabama last year and all of them were extremely nice. However, I have NEVER seen a fan base so "ready to lose". Florida fans are pretty bad. but I'll tell you (btw I have season tickets to Bama games and I've seen a lot of fans), the worst fans I have seen are Georgia fans. They are the whiniest group of drunks in the country. Many people nationally don't realize this, but they are NOT nice at all. Alabama fans, despite the Auburn tree posioning (which Auburn fans have a reputation themselves; "the good-ole boy hypocrits") are very classy to incoming fans, but only if they are nice to us.

	Don't get me wrong, I love Boston and I have several friends who love the Red Sox. They're fine people, just not the greatest fans that I've known. And I'm sure there are some good ones out there. But these sorts of lists generalize by necessity. Anyway, nothing against you, the city, or the team. Just haven't had the best experience with the fan base.
