	You could also accept Hannibal Hamlin as vice president of the U.S. He was VP during Lincoln's first term, and for the first four years of the war.

	1. Joseph Johnston, not Johnson 2. It's spelled "Manassas," and you should accept 1st and 2nd Bull Run too 3. Just "Spotsylvania" should be accepted 4. "Cold Harbor," not "Harbour" 5. Other than that, excellent quiz, very fun

	McDowell, Burnside, Hooker and Meade were never general of all the union armies, only of the Army of the Potomac; the four generals who were in fact generals-in-chief, were (in order): Scott, McClellan, Halleck and Grant. Lee was the only Confederate general of all the Confederate armies, and then only at the very end of the war.

	"Spotslyvania" (sic) is spelled wrong--so I couldn't get them all right! Technically, Grant never commanded the Army of the Potomac as Meade remained at it's head even after Grant's arrival in the east. Otherwise FUN and well done. But I had almost nine minutes left over!

	Couple more corrections... The surrender was negotiated in the home of Wilmer McLean. Also, Atlanta wasn't the capital of Georgia in 1864. Milledgeville was. Atlanta became the capital in 1868. Don't know if Milledgeville was burned.

	I had always believed that General William T. Sherman had burned Atlanta and Savannah to the ground. I had never heard of Columbia or at least not as much as Savannah.

	Columbia was burned while it was occupied by the Union. It is said that WTS promised the gov. of SC that Columbia wasn't to be burned. I think he always denied that he gave the order for Columbia to be burned, but it was his ambition to destroy the capital of the state that started the war.

	@SalGreco: I think many observers would claim the same. Atlanta and Savannah have been well represented in lore. It would appear through the majority of reports at Columbia that retreating Confederate cavalry set fires to bales of cotton before the Union troops ever entered the city. Things got out of hand, drunken revelry and looting. If Sherman's men didn't start the blaze, I doubt that the general exerted much effort to stop any worsening of it at that point.
