I hope this quiz raises awareness for boner, who has apparently been missing for over a week!

My nicknames quiz was created a few days before this one and it is more fun and more challenging. Try it. http://www.sporcle.com/games/lisay/character_nicknames

A bit too difficult for my liking, and the stats show that it's the same for all. I only got 4 out of 20, yet placed in the 62nd percentile. I suggest you throw a few easier answers in to make it more enjoyable, or use the actor/ actresses name as part of the clue to make it easier.

Jesus, you guys. Show a little respect. The man is dead and deserves to be called by his real name, not the name of the character he played twenty years ago. (Yeah, chumps, go ahead and disapprove of this comment.)

Can you make 'Big' and 'The Beav' acceptable? :3 I know it's Mr. Big but 75% of the time they just say Big.

Some suggestions for a sequel: Margaret Houlihan, Oliver Harmon Jones (MASH); Charles Arcola, Warren Weber (Happy Days); Daniel Osbourne (Buffy the Vampire Slayer); Christmas Snow (Three's Company); Hoban Washburne (Firefly); Eric Cartwright (Bonanza); Daisy Moses (Beverly Hillbillies); Clarence Rutherford, Hubert Whitney (Leave It to Beaver); Leonard McCoy (Star Trek); Bert Wysocki (Reaper). I know some of those are probably fairly easy (or rather obvious) but you can never really tell.

I'm not trying to be a jerk about this, but I don't get the complaints about how difficult this is. There were (at most) only a handful of characters with nicknames on shows like Sex and the City, Leave it to Beaver, That 70s Show, House, etc., and I'd think those are pretty well-known series. I'm not claiming I knew the characters from shows like the A-Team or the Love Boat, but it isn't bad to have some range of difficulty.

don't want to be smug, but i thought it was really easy. maybe cuz i've done so many other quizzes that have the same people in them that even though i don't watch the show i know who the characters are.

ha, i've never watched Grey's but I always assumed "McDreamy" was a name people in real life had given his character. Never realized he was known as that on the show.

I thought it was fairly easy. The only ones I missed were from shows I never watched. Even if you didn't know the real name, if you watched the show it would be easy to guess. Beaver and the MASH people should be obvious.

Was 'Tootie' ever spelled out? Because I always thought the name was spelled Tutti. And if 'Tootie' is the proper spelling, how does adding an 'S' (Tootsie) shorten the double-o?

@All - out of respect for Andrew Koenig we removed his nickname from the quiz. @breddi01 - yes often SporcleAdmins will make changes/tweaks to quizzes to get them ready for publication. For example, we swapped out a couple answers and made this quiz longer than it was when it was originally submitted.

I don't know if I would call "Red" a nickname for "Reginald" in That 70s Show. That's like calling "Tom" a nickname for "Thomas" -- yeah, it counts, but it's not really in the same vein as the rest of these.

I'm not sure I understand how deleting Boner from the quiz is showing respect. I would think remembering him is more respectful than deleting him. What a great character. RIP Andrew

@austin5string: I agree with you. It seems to me that leaving him off of a TV character nicknames quiz, published shortly after his death, is much less respectful. And @totebags: of course he has a real name, but it's a quiz about TV character nicknames... his life was more than just his TV character, however, if he was not famous for being Boner, his death wouldn't have been national news. May Andrew Koenig rest in peace. And peace to all.
