	Really cool quiz. A couple of harder clues in it but still quite doable. It would be nice if it was a little more focused but as MrChewypoo said it's a tough theme. Nice job

	I don't know, I think I would have gone from Four to July, simply reversing the ladder, (or should that be turning it upside down?), but it's a good quiz, especially for today.

	I think "plant covering" is very misleading...why not just say "tree covering"? Maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree.

	@climber: Originally the puzzle was the way you suggest because I live in Europe where we put dates first. However, since this is an American holiday puzzle and Americans traditonally place dates in the reverse order, I changed it. :)

	In the romance languages, they just say "the 4 July" instead of "the 4th of July". Since they both have to be four letters to work, I guess it's okay to adopt that here.

	I'm not fond of consecutive changes on the same letter slot (i.e., BARK - BARN - BARE), unless it is needed to include a theme word. If it's just for getting an even number of words, there are other, better ways of doing that. That said, I liked the clues -- good mix of straightforward and somewhat trickier -- and the theme. (Happy 4th of July to all my fellow Americans!)

	Great quiz, @bowsntoys! congratulations on another published quiz!!! what i find strange is that you made a quiz about U.S. independence day, but your profile says that you are from Germany. I just find it interesting that all Sporclers come together and celebrate OUR independence day!
