Love these quizzes -- only problem is you've misspelled the 13th President's last name.

@ambition: First, let me say thanks for not giving away an answer. I don't know what the "...L" I was thinking. So thanks for finding that mistake. :)

@catcherj: This type of game requires so many repetitive plays when writing to check for accuracy (ha, ha) that I have no idea of the right amount of time (because I will have all the answers memorized). Thanks for letting me know.

Clever quiz. Well done. My only question: Why didn't Fillmore work for OR?

@MSUKent: Try it again. You might have been putting his name in while I was fixing the game because he is in OR now. :)

The amount of time was perfect for me, and it was a good quiz, although I note that first names worked on 'wheres my owl' but not here, your note says 'last names only acceptable'. Perhaps you could note that you are only looking for presidents whose LAST name is in the post code.

@Golden: Sorry you missed the note at the beginning about looking only in last names. I hope you enjoyed the game anyway. :)

Why is Romney an example when he has not been a president?

He is an example exactly for that reason. All combinations of presidents and postal codes are used, so it would make sense to use someone else's name to make the example valid.

Not surprised that no president has 'WV' or 'TX' in their names.

Spent an embarrassing amount of time trying to figure out which president had a WA in his name.

Okay, I'm not a US citizen so I do not know them all and was content with what I got... and then when the answers turned up, I checked every president I missed except two (well, one twice) and was sure they weren't good for any more combinations.

It's really interesting to see so many that people got for one combination, but not for another. Almost everyone got "Washington" for "WA," but less than half got him for "HI," for example. It really shows that it was the word-puzzle aspect, not necessarily remembering presidents, that makes this tricky!

Tougher than it seems at first glance. It's those middle letter combinations that get you.

Without a doubt, one of the coolest quizzes I've ever taken here.
