	Well, this quiz doesn't really make sense historically. For example, when Christopher Columbus was born, Italy didn't exist as a country there. He was born in the Republic of Genoa, and was therefore a Genoan. So, since most of these people lived before modern countries and borders existed, you're going to have to add alternates for things like Genoa as well. So you're going to have to do some work to find the nationalities of some of these figures before the countries existed.

	I agree with the above comment. A distinction should be made between "English" (before the United Kingdom was constituted, in 1707 if I remember well) and "British" (after that date). Therefore, James Cook was British and not English. Not to mention David Livingstone, who was born actually in Scotland!

	"Viking" isn't a nationality, it's the Norse term for their seafarers - both raiders, explorers and merchants. The nationality is actually Norse, Viking was a profession. The reason for the widespread confusion is probably that the rest of the world rarely met those who stayed at home. The best solution here is probably to accept viking, but display Norse.

	Here's another problem: it triggers the "It wasn't called Italy then" whenever you type that for anyone. Thus, if you guess Italy for anyone who isn't Marco Polo, that pops up and you assume that the clue refers to them. So unless you only try "Italian" on him only, it is more confusing than helpful. Furthermore, you don't get one of those for Eric the Red, where "Viking" isn't a nationality I would ever imagine guessing.

	twosheds: That shouldn't be happening except for Marco Polo, so I have taken it out. I don't know what the glitch it. Sorry for the delay in fixing the mistakes. My plane was delayed several hours.

	Along the same lines, the Kingdom of Spain had not been unified at the time of Ponce de Leon's birth or that of Hernan Cortes. Both were Castillian at birth and only later became subjects of the Kingdom of Spain after the unification of the crowns under Charles I/V in 1516.

	Marco Polo was born in the Venetian state in what's now Croatia, some of the English are from what's now the UK and "Norse" doesn't accept Sweden or Norway so a bit unclear for most quiz takers

	You need to make it clear that you're looking for the nationality of the country that existed at the time they were born, not the country that exists in the same physical space now.
