Can you name the top 20 dunkers of all time according to ESPN? I'll admit they have some...questionable choices. Nicknames added just for fun. Primary team=most years on a single team

If you want to include a nickname for Amare, you can go with STAT (stands for standing tall and talented). See the personal section of Amare's bio page: http://www.nba.com/playerfile/amare_stoudemire/bio.html

you should accept Dr. J. While most people know these guys nicknames, Dr. J, is Dr. J. Just like Magic Johnson is Magin, not Earvin.

The Human Highlight Film would be a better nickname choice than 'Nique.

No Steve Kerr? For shame. I only knew about half, but I love the nicknames.

Needs more Jason Richardson, Josh Smith, Desmond Mason, Andre Iguodala, Terance Stansbury, Kenny Walker, Larry Nance, Gus Johnson and probably a few others.

This is an absolutely horrible list. I rate great dunkers based on in game dunking and dunk contest performance. MJ was a great dunker but the undisputed #1 is Vince Carter. Nobody has a dunk "resume" like this guy. Drexler really does not belong in the top half of the list and certainly not before Shawn Kemp or David Thompson.

too heavily weighted towards stars. Most of the best dunkers aren't great players but they still deserve to make the list

This isn't MY list, it's ESPN's. I'd take out most of the "star" players of today and replace them with Richardson, Iguodala, Barkley, Bernard King, Josh Smith, and one of the little guys (Spud Webb, Nate Robinson). Also, I agree with pbysr, my top 5 would be Vince,Wilkins,MJ,Dr. J,Thompson

Stacey Augmon could really throw it down back in the day too. People had much better nicknames back in the 70s and 80s than nowadays?

Nice to see Kemp get the props he deserves for a change, but this ESPN list looks more like it was compiled by HSN -- for starters, pathetically short of Hoyas...

Anyone who says Kobe isn't a great dunker is retarded. He has thousands of great dunks on the highlight reels. Just search 'kobe dunks" on youtube and you'll find some sick ****. He's definitely up there with the greatest dunkers. I do believe Vince Carter should be #1 though.

yeah...um...Vince Carter is the best dunker to ever step on the on the planet. I don't think anybody will every be designed to dunk better than Vince in his prime in basketball history.
