I'm kinda surprised Cyprus didn't make the list! Got 18/20, missed Solomon Islands and Bahamas (didn't think either was big enough but there must be enough islands in each to qualify!)

Papua New Guinea shares an island with another nation (Indonesia) Also Haiti/Dominican Republic and Ireland/UK share islands so the nations themselves aren't technically islands, they just make up part of an island.

Re the last comment, it is a priori unclear what should be the definition of "island nation" - definitions that exclude or that allow island-sharing seem both reasonable to me. Ideally the quiz should state it, but if it doesn't, a bit of trying shows which definition is intended and it is no big deal.

Was sure Trinidad and Tobago would be on here. In the end, I got quite annoyed trying it, and gave up, only to find I'd missed Taiwan! Good quiz!

thanks for the comments...I added a definition above, which I believe to be sufficient, but let me know if it needs some changing.

By definition, would Haiti, Dominican Republic, Ireland, Indonesia, Malaysia, Timor-Leste, and Papua New Guinea make the list, as they are not islands? No matter. The quiz works much better with them.

How did I get 19/20 and miss Japan? @Koopa08: per the above comments, "island country" can include or exclude countries that share islands, and the definition used by this quiz is clear.
