	Desmond started to read Our Mutual Friend in Live Together Die Alone because he considered suicide. He then found Penny's letter and changed his mind. Charlie's death was suicide because he willingly closed the door when he still could have escaped. He thought this was necessary because it was in Desmond's visions. Good quiz!

	Jack was going to try and kill himself, he already had the method ready. Desmond simply read a book, that's not attempting suiciding, it's contemplating it.

	@jmw419, dude, stop nitpicking, based on the clue, Jack and Desmond is the answer, there's nothing wrong with the clue to prevent people from guessing those two characters. Attempt, contemplate, w/e, it's still suicide involved.

	Desmond was clearly going to kill himself after he finished the book. That's why he said Locke banging on the hatch saved his life. So I'm all for including that. Also, the writers have said their intention was that Jae Lee killed himself, as indicated by his holding the necklace when he jumped.

	@bmo; Yes, because Jack actually tried to jump, but the car crash stopped him. Desmond only thought about it. Reading a book isnt considered attempting suicide.
