	It's a massive spoiler for the DVD epilogue, which leaked today. You may want to edit Walt out at least until the DVD drops on the 24th. Also, I don't necessarily come away from the epilogue thinking Walt's going to take over as protector. Hurley just mentions "a job," which could be like the jobs Jacob offered Richard and Dogen.

	The name of the epilogue is called "New Man in Charge", and, the whole "special' thing would suggest he's the new protector, and why Hurley is in the afterlife and Walt is not.

	Not necessarily. "The New Man in Charge" clearly refers to Hurley, as Ben uses that phrase prior to the meetup with Walt. Also, we don't know Walt isn't in the afterlife, only that he doesn't move on with that particular group of people. Walt may have moved on with Michael, Susan, Vincent, his grandmother, etc. It may very well be that Walt takes over for Hurley, but it's certainly not definitive.

	Michael did not move on, he's on the island whispering. Ben said Walt needed to help his dad, which would be on the island? How could he help a dead person unless he was the protector?

	I figured from the clip that Walt would now be in charge but it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. I mean, is he going to be sitting around on the island waiting for someone to kill Hurley? That said, making him a future protector of the island adds much needed closure to Walt's storyline.

	Why would Walt have to be the protector to help Michael? And if only the protector can do it, Hurley could just do it himself. I think Michael can only be free after he makes his peace with Walt, and Hurley (who talks to dead people) can help him do that, similar to how he helped Isabella talk to Richard. I'm not saying Walt definitely doesn't become the new protector. I'm just saying it's not a given.
