I know you used a source for this but I think Lincoln, McKinley and Kennedy being assassinated would put them on the least lucky list with Garfield.

At least they didn't get assassinated within a year of their elections. That's probably what kept them off the Least Lucky list.

@Anytlyon - I totally agree with you. At least the assassinated presidents did not make it onto the "Lucky" list. I would say though that any "study" that is trying to define "luck" is just asking to be ripped apart. The source itself does not use the term "luck" at least.

I sort of get what they mean (Hoover was vilified for the Great Depression, with which he had nothing to do, etc), but I would like an explanation from them. Is there another source, or an article about this ranking of Presidents? I would be very interested in that.
