Cyprus? Cyprus is in Europe and the map specifically says North Africa and Southwest Asia

@mrkonjichris: By the standard Sporcle conventions, Cyprus gets put in Europe; but this quiz is fairly clearly using a political/cultural definition of the Middle East, so it doesn't seem completely unreasonable to include Cyprus. …in any case, I basically read the quiz as “name the countries coloured in on this map”, under which Cyprus definitely counts; I don't think there’s too much ambiguity :-)

Great map - too bad you couldn't label it and make us guess specific to the country. I did this in less than a minute.

I'd like the source for including Pakistan and Afghanistan. Even Iran is iffy.

I don't really understand how Morocco could be described as being in the Middle East, geographically speaking at least. It's west of most of western Europe.

If you assign an ID to each country in the map, and then make us answer in order, it would be a lot better (and educational).

On this map, the West Bank (and possibly Gaza, I can't quite see on my screen) is labelled as a separate country. If you put in the instructions 'contains one country not normally recognised on Sporcle' then you could include it, otherwise, it may be best to find another map.

Terrible quiz: you are missing key countries such as Sudan, Turkmenistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Tahjikistan, and Pakistan

Palestine could be included. My only suggestion.

Cyrpus is an island in the Mediterranean. It's directly between North Africa and Europe.
