Blawkhawks refers to the native americans, but I guess it is bird-related. But then how about Raptors and Flyers, if you're not going to be specific about whether the nickname actually refers to a bird.

Went back and forth on those three, as well as Redwings. Eliminated Raptors since they go with the dinosaur theme, Flyers since it could also be a plane, and Redwings since the type of bird isn't specified. Kept Blackhawks as the tribe is named after the bird.

^The Reds were originally founded as the Redlegs, referring to the color of their socks, but the name was shortened to the Reds soon after. So there is no bird reference there. You need to fix the formatting or something on the NFL list, because it shows more blanks than there are answers. I ran out of time racking my brain for another bird-related NFL name only to see that I had already named them all.

The Blackhawks aren't named after a tribe, they are named after a World War I battalion thet their founder and first owner fought in. That battalion was named after an indian Chief "Black Hawk" who fought in the "black hawk war" where the most famous battle at Fort Dearborn, now downtown Chicago (Michigan and Wacker).
