| There are many mistakes:
Psyche was an allegorical deity, Circe a witch or a goddess, Achilles was more of a Trojan war hero than Odysseus, if you have Paris, there should also be Hector and Aeneas, and if you have Ajax, why not Diomedes, Agamemnon, Menelaus, etc.? Even Helen was considered a heroin. Aesop was not a legend (he was a historical slave), and even if he was, just because some figure is legendary, it doesn't automatically make him/her a hero. Chiron was not a hero and Amazons are a race, and I doubt that even Penthesilea, their queen, would be classified as heroin. Orestes should be there, Cassandra and Polydectes certainly shouldn't. I personally wouldn't include Castor and Pollux either. And what the hell is Houdini doing here?! Just for that I'd give this quiz the lowest mark!
Some of the hints are also unclear or (sorry) silly. I mean, Ajax cleaning tables? Paris "a capital" city? What's "6s aunt" for Circe? Bellerophon was mainly famous for slaying Chimera or riding Pegasus, and besides, since most Greek heroes were descendant from gods, the hint is ambiguous and invalid. You should stick either with "funny" hints (Paris, cleaning tables) OR actual references to Greek mythology. |
