	No, he was drafted in 2003, but since he tore his ACL in his last college game, he had to miss the entire 2003 season. Since he played his first snap in the NFL in 2004, that is considered his rookie year.

	Ryan Grant wasn't a rookie in 2007. He was drafted by the Giants in 2005. And Pumbaa is right about Willis McGahee; your rookie year is the year you're drafted, not the first year you play.

	http://www.nfl.com/players/ryangrant/profile?id=GRA497823/ According to NFL.com, Ryan Grant is in his 3rd season, which means 2007 was his 1st season. Otherwise known as his rookie season.

	For one, nfl.com, the website you linked to, lists Grant as being on the Giants in 2006. The Packers' website confirms that he was with the Giants, a pro football team, for two years prior to his position on the Packers. http://www.packers.com/team/players/grant_ryan/#s6 I don't know why I have to say the exact same thing again, but a rookie season is the year you were drafted or (in Ryan Grant's case) signed as an undrafted free agent, NOT the first year you accumulate stats.

	That is irrelevant. He is in his 3rd year. Year 3: 2009. Year 2: 2008. Year 1: 2007. Rookie: 2007. Same thing with McGahee. 6th Year: 2009. 1st year: 2004. You are not an NFL player until you play a down in a regular season game. Neither Grant nor McGahee did that until 2007 and 2004 respectively, and so they were rookies in those years. End of story.

	Bees you are wrong. A player's rookie year is the year they first play a down, not necessarily accumulate stats. I'm almost positive that's the case, and unless you can back up your claims with actual evidence, it's not worth continuing this discussion.

	One note on the rookie qualification discussion, I know in the NBA, Greg Oden's rookie season was actually the year after he was drafted because he missed his whole first year due to injury. He would have qualified for Rookie of the Year in his "second" season. Not sure if the NFL is the same, but for the purposes of this quiz, probably just keep it how it is.

	To add some confirmation to this, NFL.com and ESPN.com have Carson Palmer, who didn't play a down in 2003, listed as a 7 year veteran, even though he only has 6 years of stats.
