| minus_the_bear, French Guiana is not a "territorial claim", it is a part of France (think of it whatever you want - I don't think it's cool either, but that's the way it is) and an integral part of the EU. It is common practice on similar sporcle quizzes to treat its borders with Suriname and Brazil just like the other borders (e.g. France/Germany) of the country, meaning that the EU borders Brazil. And of course Italy is a valid answer, it borders many countries bordering Italy. As for the St. Martin border: The French part of St. Martin does not have the same political status as French Guiana does and is not considered an integral part of France, so it's only like a "half" French-Dutch border. Methinks it may be a good idea to include the Netherlands as a bonus. |
