| I like these quizzes! Wow, I can't believe I'm about to make this argument ;-) All politics aside (and I know that's a lot to ask from some people), I think a case can be made for removing Israel as a bonus answer since it doesn't really border a country that borders Egypt. Also, I think a case can be made for including Gaza Strip and West Bank as bonus answers since while they are not countries (in the Sporcle sense at least, if not in other senses as well) they are territories that border a country that borders Egypt (namely, Israel). I like how in these quizzes there seems to be one country which borders the subject country, but doesn't itself border a country that borders the subject country. It happens whenever the set of countries that border both countries is exactly two (in this case Egypt and Israel are the only two countries that border both countries). Malaysia played that role in your Bordering Countries That Border Thailand quiz (I would argue that Malaysia should not be a bonus country there for the same reason): http://www.sporcle.com/games/bikingguy/borderingthailand Bordering Countries That Border Spain doesn't have a similar problem with Portugal because the instructions for that quiz are worded to include countries that border Spain as well: http://www.sporcle.com/games/bikingguy/borderingspain For what it's worth, I like the quizzes better where the "countries that border a country that borders a country" rule is strictly enforced. Thanks for the quizzes, 5 globes. |
