	Although Hitchcock, Ford, and Ozu were great filmmakers during the silent era, I tried to stay with directors whose most important film or films were made during the silent era (with Lang being a possible exception depending on how you feel about "M" compared to Metropolis). As far as the other filmmakers go I was planning to make the test larger when I had more time. Stroheim is definitly one of the names that will be on the list. Thanks for reminding me.

	I loved this quiz already and you've improved it even more. My only remaining suggestion is that this quiz will prove tough enough that you don't have to bypass the most "obvious" films for some film makers. For example, Battleship Potemkin is the only film that even many who know a good deal of movie history would probably know Eisenstein for. Similarly, for Griffiths, the obvious choices would the repugnant but well-known Birth of a Nation and the remarkable Intolerance. For Chaplin, substitute Modern Times or City Lights for the obscure "Circus".

	With Chaplin, I figured The Gold Rush would be the obvious give away. With Griffith and Eisenstein, my guess was that if someone could guess a handfull of the other directors that they would probably guess Eisenstein and Griffith. With most directors, I tried to give one more obvious answer and one more obscure so that people who had only been exposed to their well known works would have the opportunity to see some more obscure titles as well. Filmmakers who have only one film I am either not familiar enough with to give good examples or got their start late in the silent era. In Hepworth's case, his film library was almost completely destroyed for the silver nitrate in the film so almost all of his work is gone. Thanks for the compliment and I will continue to add to this quiz.

	Owning up to a mistake just in case anyone noticed. The Extraordinary Adventures of Mr. West in the Land of the Bulsheviks was not directed by Pudovkin. I have fixed the error and made the actual answer into its own category since his name is rather important. Sorry
