	I believe the Jewish community would prefer their scriptures to be called the Torah if we are being completely politically accurate.

	I'll probably get voted down but I dont really care. There are 66 books in the Bible (73, if you're Catholic), and a 16 question quiz has Matthew as the answer for 3 of them? Genesis 2 more? I understand the "stories" are more well known for those books, but how about a little varriety?

	I'd be interested to know whether those contributors offended by the use of the term "Bible" without specifying the religion would take the same position about all the USA-specific quizzes that use terms like "the Constitution" or "the Supreme Court" without specifying the country.

	@kirrix and shwax- the Jews don't call their Holy Book the Bible, they call it the Torah. As far as I know, Christianity is the only major religion that calls their book The Bible. I think you're taking political correctness a little too far.

	The Torah is only the first five books of Moses. If you include the rest of what Christians refer to as the Old Testament, it is called the Tanakh.

	The Jewish Bible is in Hebrew called the Tanakh. The name is an acronym of the three major parts: Torah, Prophets, and Writings (the later two in Hebrew are Neviim and Ketuvim) giving us the three letters Tet, Nun, Kaf (which if at the end of the word becomes a Final Chaf) producing Tanakh. Don't tell me what we call our scripture. I went religious school for my entire life and my mother's a Rabbi. As for EGaffney's comment, I would fully support the renaming of the political quizzes so as to be labled specifically for the United States. And shel99, there is much in the Old Testament that is not in the Tanakh (Maccabees I & II for instance). They were largely left out by the Rabbis for political reasons.

	@kirrix i agree with you 100%, although i may have accidentally voted down your first comment instead of up, but i was thinking the exact same thing. Bible is just the english translation for 'Tanakh' or in hebrew, תנ"ך, the name of this quiz should definitely be changed to 'Christian Bible' or something of the sort. and @Morby, you are just completely wrong @WampaMauler as kirrix stated, our scriptures contain more than just the Torah, the Torah is within the Bible

	The Hebrew Bible is the Torah, Prophets, and Scriptures known collectively as Tanakh. The Torah is just the "5 Books of Moses."

	Maccabees 1 and 2 are apocrypha. the political reasons for them being left our were that the maccabees wrote the stories about themselves and their ancestors, so theyre pretty biased. all of the story of channukah as jews know and accept it comes from accounts of the war int he talmud, not from the aforementioned books. and yeah, fail due to not knowing christian stuff

	We call it the Tanakh... not the Hebrew Bible. In any event, the word Bible literally means book in Latin. While I'm sure people don't require the specificity, it would be more correct to specify the Christian Bible.

	@jonnyboy180: i think that while you might be right, the quiz asked for the popular Bible story, which is most definitely the sermon on the mount given by Jesus in Matthew. I'm not saying there aren't others, but the one by Jesus is definitely the most well-known.

	love all the non-Jews giving thumbs down to anyone who tries to say the the Tanakh is also considered a Bible. Just because you don't know it as being called the Bible because YOU don't call it the Bible doesn't mean other people don't call it the Bible.
