| Not a bad concept, but I think the title should be changed to 'these foods associated with a specific country'. There is no one national dish of most of these countries. Your descriptions are not always accurate. For example, foie gras need not be from a goose, nor need it be made into a pate. Moussaka is not simply a baked aubergine, and stamppot is not just a pot of vegetables. I also disagree with LaviniaB that different countries cannot have the same national dish, especially when the two countries are a) neighbors, and b) linguistically and historically linked. |
