Great idea for a quiz. I would have wanted some more time. A minor inconsistency is in the population figures. You take numbers for the total metro areas (San Francisco, Sao Paulo) but include also the suburbs (San Jose, Sao Bernardo do Campo) that were part of that number.

I was going to make a similar comment to Onno's... the city of San Francisco, CA has a population around 500,000-600,000, nowhere near 4,000,000 (@Onno: San Jose is certainly not a suburb of San Francisco, being 50+ miles south of it!) Otherwise, this is a great idea for a quiz.

St Petersburg FL and St Paul MN should be here at least as bonuses (your source lists them as alternate center cities for the metro areas). San Jose is usually considered as a separate metro area from San Francisco so I think that's fine.

St Louis' metro population is used but San Antonio's and San Diego's city proper population was shown.
