	it's because of how long they've been in the league. hinske doesn't play much but he's a veteran and won a ROY award once. your pay increases once you've been around a while even if you're not any good. also, kei igawa should be a bonus answer. $14 million in AAA!

	Yo Peach, Rivera is one of the main reasons the Yankees won all the championships from 96-00. Sure he doesn't play as much as an everday player, but that's logistics. His JOB is to only come in for an inning every couple days and I don't think you can argue that he is the best at that job out of anyone in history. He is probably the most deserving of his salary out of any Yankee on that roster.

	Hey Blaise, I assume by your picture that you're a Phillies fan. In regards to your $1 mil and up comment, here are the only Phillies making $1mil or less: Bruntlett, Ruiz, Condrey, Coste. Brett Myers is making $12 million. Get off your high horse.

	Igawa makes $4M per year, I don't know where you're getting $14M. $26M was paid to Japan for his rights - has nothing to do with his salary. It's overpaying regardless but factually incorrect. And in fairness, Chad Gaudin made $2M this year (even though the Yankees only picked up a fraction of that)

	Sporctastic, I can argue that Trevor Hoffman is a better closer than Rivera. I'm not saying he is, I'm just saying it's possible to argue that. Besides being the all time save leader, most of his stats (regular season) compete very well with Rivera.

	The absolute minimum salary for a major league baseball player is $400,000. Considering that the Yankees have more money than most small countries, that fact that almost their entire roster earns over $1,000,000 per year isn't a surprise. A more interesting quiz (albeit consisting of 5 players) would be "Name the Yankees that are paid less than $1,000,000 per year".
