The last grouping doesn't quite seem to work. I got all the answers and typed in the final code word, but the timer didn't stop. The lines under "Name Origins" never appeared and "Well Done" did not appear.
I entered "spanish snow covered nevada" and it did not work. It finally worked when I just entered "snow covered nevada," but it should accept both columns fully written out, as all the other categories and all the other similar quizzes do.

Experienced the same as @imclala… also, upon entering the penultimate hidden word, I was given automatic credit in column 4 for the Mississippi clue.

Thank you both, I think it should work now.

Excellent as always, and I love the fact that you got all fifty states in there. My only quibble is that you used translations for the mottos--"Oro y Plata" is a lot more familiar as the motto of Montana; similarly "Labor Omnia Vincit". ("Crescit eundo" isn't especially familiar to me, but it's still correct, as are "Esto perpetua" and "Ditat Deus".)

@Tahnan: Being Canadian, very few of the state mottos are at all familiar to me, but I can't remember you ever giving me bad advice before so I'll take your word for it.

nice quiz... not a total fan of the Latin mottos but it's your quiz.. did get them by process of elimination because with the english at least I could make a better educated guess :)

Awesome! Please accept Super Bowl 1 (with the numeral), not just Super Bowl I.

I think you could even take a minute off of this; I finished with over a minute left. Although I am American, so this might be harder for international players.

@rightanswer: It did have one less minute - I increased it to 8 after mccabebabe's comment.

I wonder if you could make the name origins work when just using the language instead of typing the whole line out (for the applicable ones).

I'm from Australia and have no real knowledge about America, and got to the very last category just by typing in as many combinations as I could. A little less time would be more appropriate (or maybe I'm just a fast typist)

I had to try Cleveland, Ohio for the president. That should be a bonus ;-))
