	"panic" in that form does not really equal "overcome with fear." Panic is either a verb (i.e. to panic) or a noun (i.e. a state of panic). I've never heard nor would ever use "overcome with fear" as a verb -- "We shall overcome the weaklings with fear!" That just sounds stupid.

	@Jerez: "Panic" can be a transitive verb, as in, "Don't yell like that; you'll panic the horses." It's not the most common usage though, and I'd have changed the clue to something like "go mad with fear."

	A lot of these are kind of dysfunctional clues... "Panic" should either have its clue amended, or have "paralyzed" as an alternate answer. The clue for "wage" is a bit off - a wage is similar to an amount paid to the worker by the employer, not a fee. It's actually about the opposite of a fee... And the heading for the third column says "Beging With". Could you please fix some of these?

	@Caius, even if you don't know the etymology, there are only two words in English that begin with 'aa' (ignoring a'a, a type of lava), and the answer is by far the better known of the two. So just guessing "words that start with aa" is presumably what a lot of people did.

	I like your thought process trogon. Truly, though, the only reason is because a vast majority of us watched "Arthur" as kids. And everyone knows Arthur is an aardvark, spelled with two A's. At least, that would be my guess...

	I have modified the clue for wage (although it can be synonymous with fee) added various forms of paralyze as well as jasper, earlier and even laddyrinth in addition to correcting the typos that have been mentioned. I did not add daybreak as an answer because, well, it's the clue. Thanks for the help everyone.
