@Oli4: The stats seem to agree with you, I have taken away a minute for now, thanks.
@FishyInSpain: For each pair you type in correctly, an answer appears in the right hand column. Each of those answers has one letter in surrounded by () - those letters will spell out the 'hidden word' which unlocks the next category.

These things turn into typing/spelling tests when you don't put enough time on there. How about a little enjoyment rather than a race?

@munga: The answers are right in front of you on a quiz like this so the time limit needs to be challenging. That is also the reason why it never becomes a spelling test.

When I entered Russia in the Flag Colors, it also popped up in Islands.

Wow, finished it with four seconds left. The time is excellent to make it a challenge. I used up a lot of time on the flags, most of which I guessed. Overall, excellent game.

Everest is "EVEEST" on the right-hand side, I had to guess. Hebrides is "Hebride," which I had to look in the comments for.

I play geography quizzes almost daily. Just for myself. I never sign in. Today I see that FishyInSpain gets voted down for not understanding what he should do. At this point I feel like telling you "Pros" that I think you sometimes have a tendency to be very arrogant. Kind of very proud of yourself and your knowledge. That's all I have to say. Now go ahead and vote me down for making such a statement.

@nopurplesky: Agreed. It wouldn't be that hard to add a simple "Type the mystery clue letters in the brackets from top to bottom to move to the next level." As it is, the instructions simply say a mystery clue will be revealed. So? Who cares? Oh, I have to type it in? Were I also not someone who spends a lot of time on Sporcle, I may not have known either.

Needs another 1 or 2 mins imo as lost time scrolling up and down at the beginning and a lot of typing to be done but great format for a quiz ;-)

Adding code letters or short phrases such as (kil) for kilimanjaro or (gyb) for green, yellow, black would make this a trivia quiz instead of a typing test.

Put the time up to 15 minutes or 20 and show the answers after someone types in anything. 40 out of 40 for everyone. No Sporcler left behind!

Perfect timing. 27 seconds left answering them all. It requires fast typing, perhaps. More, the quiz requires fast thinking. Good.

The code word under "Mountains" is spelled "EBLEMS", yet when I typed that the puzzle would not unlock. I had to type "EMBLEMS" to unlock the puzzle. The other times I typed exactly what was there and the puzzle unlocked.

It's a great quiz with answers swerving right past the obvious! Yet you might want to change the colors for the German flag to black-red-gold instead of black-red-yellow as that is how they are defined. Some Germans may even find it offensive to call the bottom color yellow because that is how the Nazis tried to discredit this flag.

Aside from the German flag being part gold, not yellow, there's just one more small thing - I believe the landmarks could have been chosen better. How about Angkor Wat or something like that instead of either the Space Needle or the White House?

Just finished with 29 seconds to spare. Good quiz but I found myself simply guessing towards the end. A great challenge though. Well done.

Great quiz - except for seniors who can't type that fast anymore... An idea: why not put a number next to each item on column one and a letter on each item on column two - so that one doesn't have to type (and retype over and over till finally giving up) Christtheredeemerriodejaneiro (which is probably still typed incorrectly)! You'd need to shorten the quiz time, but by having to match up a number/letter rather than typing everything out this quiz would be more about testing knowledge than typing skills. Just a thought... but otherwise wonderful quiz!
