To begin type GO. To answer a question, type the 3 digit code (without the brackets) corresponding to your choice. The questions you receive will be determined by your choices and your cumulative score to that point - but if you get too many wrong the game will end. You will receive at least 3 and up to 12 total trivia questions, unless you get all 12 right at which point you will receive a 13th question - get it right and you have won the game! Your total score will determine what level you finish at, ranging from 1 to 14. DO NOT attempt to go back and reanswer questions - this may cause the game to not work properly (and you probably wont have time to). This is of course designed to provide you with lots of replayability - see if you can reach the highest level on each category! Good luck and enjoy!

This is my second attempt at this type of game and I have tried a different format this time. The prior version (Choose Your Own Adventure) was unfortunately much more squished and also didn't end automatically when the game was over - but this version unfortunately does not display results. If you prefer this style please vote this comment up, if you prefer the other please vote this down and I will make the appropriate changes. I also have been unable to come up with a way of letting you know exactly which ones you got right or wrong so far. If anyone can help with any of these problems I would love to hear from you.

Very creative, and good effort!
Feb 10th, 2010 at 05:26 GMT
"574" isn't working. Since you don't get any feedback on what you got right or wrong, I thought the quiz was kind of just OK.
Feb 10th, 2010 at 06:02 GMT
i love penguins so much
Feb 10th, 2010 at 06:16 GMT
this must have taken a lot of effort...good work
Feb 10th, 2010 at 10:29 GMT
Thanks everyone, it was quite a bit of effort but it's getting easier, the first one took me about 5 times longer. @Tahnan: 374 has been fixed, thanks (typed 754 accidentally). I think I have just figured out a way to show feedback after every question...I will make some changes as soon as I can come up with 34 more questions. @returntoglory011: Me too...good job.
Feb 10th, 2010 at 11:55 GMT
Somehow I got level 13, and I was only asked 5 trivia questions in entertainment ans language. Is this wrong, or was I supposed to do that "well?"
Feb 10th, 2010 at 12:14 GMT
@rlnintendo: The data all looks to be OK. My best guess is that you made a typo on the number - possibly 176 instead of 076 on the fear of heights question?
Feb 10th, 2010 at 12:33 GMT
it said that i only got one question right when i got thourgh the entertinment catagory typed in upsilon
Feb 10th, 2010 at 13:06 GMT
RCHPfan96: Sorry, I was trying to make changes, but I'll wait until I have the update completely written and take it offline briefly. It should work now.
Feb 10th, 2010 at 14:58 GMT
The only way I can think of to display correct or incorrect answers would be to put them in the following question, as each question that comes up must be in response to a certain answer input. Might be a lot of work though!
Feb 10th, 2010 at 16:24 GMT
Extra points JUST for including Squash.
Feb 10th, 2010 at 17:11 GMT
Er, for the Olympic question, all 4 answers are coming up as wrong...even Squash.
Feb 10th, 2010 at 19:08 GMT
penguins are God's greatest creatures
Feb 10th, 2010 at 22:33 GMT
@DRB: Actually the problems are that as it is now, if you get 1/2 correct for example it doesn't differentiate between whether you got the first right and the second wrong or vice versa - which I can add in extra questions to fix AND that I am at the limit for alternate 'answers' to end the game, but I think I have figured out a way around that too. @mybeaglebells: Thanks, they're trying to get it into the Olympics though, I may have to change that in a couple years. @xMisguidedGhosts: Er, no they don't - it's the last question. It either takes you to 8/12 or 7/12. @brent10: Good work, only the xecond mention so far...(I'll change the word soon).

I have made some changes, the most significant of which is that you will now be told if you got each question correct or not. I have also added dozens of questions - there are now 123 total trivia questions. Please let me know if you experience any problems or if you have any ideas of how to make it work better. Thanks and enjoy.
Feb 11th, 2010 at 21:15 GMT
There's still some glitches. For example, I hadn't gotten any wrong, but it told me that I'd gotten 7/9 correct. Good idea, but hard to execute.
Feb 11th, 2010 at 23:45 GMT
@WorldWhiz: Sorry about that, I had the wrong numbers in the first history question. It should work now, thanks for the help.
Feb 12th, 2010 at 22:34 GMT
This is hard to execute, but I really love it. I have to say that this game played better (perhaps because each question told you whether it was correct or incorrect) but I preferred being able to see your final result like in the first quiz.
Feb 13th, 2010 at 00:47 GMT
I like the improvements! However, 447 on the question "Who is Temujin better known as?" is broken... I'm glad, too, because I would have had it wrong, LOL.
Feb 13th, 2010 at 01:27 GMT
@CRW12291: Thanks, it has been fixed, my horrible handwriting made that 4 look like a 9. @Golden: Yeah, I really wish I had a way to show results with this format. Mostly because it is just interesting to see at the end of a quiz but also because it would help me gauge if it is too easy or too hard. I'm still waiting for someone to come along and tell me how it can be done.
Feb 13th, 2010 at 05:36 GMT
very impressed, even though you are a patsies fan i give you credit!
Feb 13th, 2010 at 15:23 GMT
very cool game, and it must have taken a lot of work to make it. good job!

Kyrgyzstan does not border iran, ukraine, or myanmar.
Feb 14th, 2010 at 06:15 GMT
i went to type 537 (for sports) but i made a mistake and typed 538. I think that gave me an answer to another question. Just a little thing to look out for
Feb 14th, 2010 at 09:33 GMT
@oohindu: The question is which one borders a country that borders Kyrgyzstan, not which one borders Kyrgyzstan. @teh_DR: I didn't want to use 4 digit codes and there are almost 500 different codes so I unfortunately wasn't able to avoid using similar ones. Type carefully.
Feb 14th, 2010 at 14:10 GMT
wow! Great quiz, it must have taken ages to make i wouldnt have that kind of patience. Um, why measure in K for the temperature one if they are the same? i knew it in the other two but that totally threw me.
Feb 15th, 2010 at 15:38 GMT
552 in hte conjunction question doesnt work

Feb 20th, 2010 at 03:28 GMT
in the category language, the number 597 wouldn't work. it was a wrong answer, but just saying. btw amazing quiz. :-)
Feb 20th, 2010 at 07:34 GMT
Thanks, it has been fixed. Sporcle has taught me to spell Kyrgyzstan without any problems but apparently I couldn't spell the code for it correctly.
Feb 20th, 2010 at 13:59 GMT
love the quiz!
