Magellan never completed his circumnavigation. He was killed during the voyage.

You are, of course, correct. I have changed the question completely. Thanks for the help.

Hey, that gets five globes just for that. A nice quiz. I usually don't do well on anagrams, but I got them all here except for the Charlemagne dat.

Charlemagne was crowned emperor of the romans, not holy roman emperor.

@Ruanek: Although you are definitely not wrong, in this case I'm going to argue that common usage also makes the title I have used acceptable. I do appreciate the information though.

DINNERFAD, uh...... Ferdinand? Okay, so assassinates comes next. Now who was the person that pushed the domino to plunge the world into WWI? Um... I have no idea, but it seems like an important thing to know.

Great game for a word and history enthusiast like me! Nice mix of eras in the choice of events. Five orbs. (Now when will they start letting us give out scepters as well?!)

How many knew the disappearance date from that Star Trek Voyager episode, "The 37s" ?
May 27th, 2012 at 19:39 GMT
Really neat quiz; a tough combination of skills needed to complete it. Only complaint is that more time is needed, considering how many of the anagrams are not ordinary words but unusual proper names. I would like to see a sequel to this quiz!

Hellgrance the slut said, "Rest!" Love these quizzes.

Hmmm, I wasn't sure about the Princip/Ferdinand one (maybe because I'm not used to seeing Archduke Franz Ferdinand being referred to with just one name)...so I took a bet that it was a 20th-century assassination and blitzed one year after another, then worked backwards from the given date. Bit of an unorthodox way to do it, but luckily it worked!

I knew Charlemagne was crowned Emperor sometime in the 800s, so I was going to just work my way through each year of the century, first time lucky in this case however!
