A very neat innovation! Lots of fun. I'm just sorry that, thanks to the tiem pressure, I was up to the third set (songs) before even noticing that the rightmost column had random related phrases in it--I'd read the letters out of the first two sets without even noticing that words they were in.

Great! Is there room to accept the World Wars with Roman numerals?
By the way is it cheating to copy-paste "Huitzilopochtli" into the answer box?

@hscer: I usually prefer to use Roman numerals when writing the names of the World Wars, however it doesn't work well for this: if someone thinks the answer for The Somme is World War II they will get a free answer (and probably have to delete an I).

@lexilou: I have been watching the stats to see about the time limit. Over 35% are getting to the last category and 60% to the second last. The time needs to be a challenge for this type of quiz to work so for now I'm going to leave it.
@bierhoff64: Thanks, I have added a few new permissible answers.

@All Oh yes, the time is PERFECT as it is right now, making it a racing challenge that is exhilarating. Adding more time to this just allows people who don't know a lot of the answers to just blitz and type in all the combos in an area they don't know well. Given enough time anyone can get a perfect score, because all the answers are just sitting there on the quiz.

Please accept WW1 or WWI for World War One and WW2 or WWII for World War Two. It makes it less of a typing contest. Good quiz though

Sorry, I made some errors when changing that before, it will now accept several versions of WW1 and WW2, but no Roman numerals.

Man, I hate how you included "Huitzilopochtli" in the quiz. Took me just about forever to make sure I put all 15 letters in the right place.

@ElDavo: that was sports for me. I knew Tom Brady, and I guessed the rest until it worked. I was glad there was time to use the brute force method for at least one category.

Final clue says "THEISIC" and not "THEISTIC" like the answer says. When you only have 7 seconds left and you're rushing to type in the clue it gets pretty frustrating.

Thanks everyone. For anyone interested there are currently 3 other versions available in my contributed folder under QUICK! Match 'em up...(and many more are partially written)
@Twigglet, tracyco: All hidden clues read as they should. You need to be sure to match EACH pair from the group to get all the letters.
@goseaward: You're welcome. It really was necessary for such a long quiz. It does unfortunately create limitations with what stats can be displayed but I think the trade off is definitely worth it

HOLY COW THAT WAS GREAT! Time limit is pretty close to right, if you don't want people guessing their way through everything. I've got a pretty good knowledge base and I type reasonably quickly, and I still finished with less than a minute left. This quiz validated AP English, History, and Art History classes :)

Major, MAJOR bonus points for making it go from the bottom up so I didn't have to scroll back and forth. Several of the categories, when I got to them, I was thinking, "what?! Inventors?! I don't know any of these!" But then I realized that I do, from some far off knowledge recalled from somewhere. This draws from an awesome general knowledge base.
