Fun quiz. One typo; the word is "asinine."

Thanks for spotting that, Pillbug. Corrected.

This was entertaining :) And the word for "(adj.) - relating to, or having characteristics of an eagle" is "aquiline" with "i" instead of "a" (like it says now "aqualine"). Good quiz, though.

I clearly have one very specific problem when it comes to spelling. Changed.

"Amoretti" is plural; the singular is "amoretto." Make the definition plural or make the answer singular.

Nice—a bit challenging in that I wasn't inclined to commit to some answers before I clicked on everything I knew for sure.

I think your time is very long and I hardly ever make that comment. The only reason anyone would need that much time is if they were looking the words up someplace. Great quiz - and I agree with hatshepsut.

Mmmm amoretto tasty

"Adelophogamy" should be "Adelphogamy." Otherwise, very nice quiz. Thanks!

I liked this quiz but I didn't appreciate the use of the swear word "asinine"

Maybe I'm mistaken, but anemia is specifically a lack of sufficient blood cells or hemoglobin in the body, not the blood cells' ability to transport oxygen. A person can have 100% oxygen saturation, but if their RBC or hemoglobin levels are too low, they can become symptomatic. Hypoxia is the condition in which the red blood cells are unable to perform their function of transporting oxygen properly.

@markyb You're right, the hint has been modified for clarity.

I love it when you get down to the last 4 or 5 that you don't know for sure and you're making educated guesses.

These are getting so much love in publishes and Editor Picks, I'm tearing up a little.

ok, so i got 19 straight..... you figure when you have only six left it should be easier to match them up, or at least guess a couple....... i got zero of them, i beat the odds (in a bad way)

Asinine isn't a curse word. It literally means "of, relating to, or resembling a donkey or ass."
Mar 21st, 2013 at 22:12 GMT
When I saw the hint "To make something bad or unsatisfactory better," I kept thinking it meant "To make something bad" or "To make something unsatisfactorily better," which completely confused me. I realize now that it means "To make something (bad or unsatisfactory) better," but it confused me a lot at first.

Really should have gotten amoretto, but I read it as "amaretto" instead. And now I want an amaretto sour, and it's 9 in the morning.
