| Excellent quiz! There is one error - the kinship between Henry VII and Richard III, the "in-law" should be removed, they were (by blood, not by marriage) "third cousins once removed" through a shared descent from Edward III via his third son John of Gaunt to Henry VII and via his fourth son Edmund of Langley to Richard III. However they had an even closer connection as they were both descendants of John of Gaunt - Richard III's mother, Cecily Neville, was the daughter of Joan Beaufort, daughter of John of Gaunt and sister of John Beaufort, father of John Beaufort, father of Margaret Beaufort, mother of Henry VII - so this is their closest relationship - that of second cousins once removed. |
