You can moan about the over-emphasis on football(that's Association Football, not American football by the way)but, hey the rest of the world seems to have that particular bug as well. Athletes compete in championships EVEN WHEN IT'S NOT AN OLYMPIC YEAR and, here's a thing...they actually win. It's not ENGLAND who's voting for the BBC sports personality of the year, it's the people of the UK (see that Chris Hoy bloke...he's from Edinburgh which, last time I checked wasn't in England) and it's also not the sports MAN of the year as, if you check it out, you'll find some women have won it as well. |
