@EmYanks2001 & austin5string: The issue isn't with the quiz, so it isn't something that can be fixed. You don't have any fonts installed which have access to the correct symbols. It is not an image quiz and uses unicode characters to work in this matching format. It couldn't be re-formatted in another way and still work. I will re-post all of MRL's comment from another quiz as s/he explains it very nicely:
Generally when you can't see a particular character, it's a Unicode symbol that your system doesn't have a font for. In theory, if your main browser font doesn't have that symbol, your browser should use a font on your computer that does have it (this works with Windows and Firefox, I can't confirm other combinations). So the best solution is to find a free font that has a large amount of support for Unicode characters -- Code 2000 is a pretty good one. This will take care of most character issues (barring proprietary symbols such as Apple's logo).
Regardless of whether you want to install font for the sake of playing certain quizzes, it is always useful to have access to a good range of unicode symbols as they appear relatively frequently on the internet. @EmYanks: Installing fonts couldn't be easier. In Windows versions later than Vista, you just right click on the file and click install. In earlier version, you simply put the file in the folder called Fonts.
@lynarii: I don't remember which site I took the symbols from, but that is just the way that the unicode symbols for Pisces and Sagittarius are displayed - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Unicode_characters#Miscellaneous_symbols - I have no idea why they were drawn weirdly in the first place. Interestingly, if you copy and paste either of them into the Google Chrome address bar, it displays a more authentic version in the suggested searches. |
