It was a little frustrating to be constantly clicking through the photos and then back to the text box. Maybe you could just make it a slide show?

I agree with elh530, losing focus on the input field is annoying.

I know what you're getting at. It irritates me slightly too. The problem with a slideshow is that it is impossible to have the transitions between pages at an appropriate length for everyone. It just leads to complaints of "scrolls too fast for me" and "scrolls too slowly for me" with the vast majority of people taking manual control anyway. If there is a way to just not lose the cursor from the text box I'd love to hear it.

Ok. I've added a rudimentary play and stop button so you can just leave it scrolling and get a new image every 5 seconds or so. For some reason the play status is interrupted if you then use the back/forward buttons and the slideshow reverts to 'stopped'. If anyone who codes in Flash can give me some pointers on how I can make it retain the playing/paused status it would be much appreciated.

I typed in any artist and i got it correct no matter what. I'd type in Donatello, and it would give it to me, even though it was a Michelangelo. I just typed Leonardo the whole time and got everything right.

No. It just shows you what the correct answer is when you get it wrong. If you look carefully you will see that when you get an answer incorrect it appears in red on a grey background rather than black on a green background. The incorrect answer feature is relatively new to Sporcle so you may not have seen it before. If you've typed Leonardo for every answer you will notice at the bottom of this page it will say "Your best score: 6 out of 25" because every other time you used it will have counted as a wrong answer.
