	This is one of those quizzes where I really wish Sporcle had a forum to discuss ideas in before starting to make it. There are so many ways to make a comic minefield. I decided to base it on who is most published rather than any "top 100 greatest" lists so there is some real data and not just someone's opinion. Obviously though doing it this way means rankings can change whereas a top 100 list would stay static. This will probably need updating from time to time. Just let me know if it is out of date and I'll move it around. The other problematic thing is the names. Superheroes and villains tend to have a range of titles, nicknames and alter egos. Sometimes different humans fill in as the costume of another superhero etc. I've tried to accept as many alternates as possible without going to the extreme of researching all of the minor alter egos of each of the 300 answers. If I've missed any important names which you think should be accepted, please just add them to the comments and I'll sort it out. Finally, I've tried to add some trivial little titbits about most of the major mines. I know a lot of people like to replay minefields and try to build up their score. Hopefully this makes it a little bit less tedious for them. It would have taken my entire life to trawl through the bios of every character to find an interesting little factoid or story so most mines don't have one. If you come across a mine with no trivia about one of your favourite characters, feel free to leave something interesting about them in the comments which I can incorporate. Thanks and enjoy!

	Beat it after a few tries. I'm curious how Green Lantern and Flash's appearances were counted (I think I can say that w/o revealing whether or not they appear) and what bearing it might have had on the quiz. Also, hints for anyone else playing - almost no DC at all. And far fewer "peripheral" characters than you might expect (only 1, really).

	If you have a look at the source, it looks like appearances of each human known as Green Lantern or Flash are counted separately. Same goes for any human who has taken on the mantle of several different superheroes - the total appearances for that human are what is counted. In the quiz, the names Green Lantern and Flash are only attached to their highest placing human. You can only get the lower placing ones by using their human names. If everyone who had played the part of Green Lantern and Flash was added together, they could well have made it into the top 25. I actually originally made this as a Marvel Minefield only (primarily because the name sounded better). I only decided to include the few DC characters at the last moment as it seemed weird including them as mines but not as answers.

	Because I changed what the quiz was about 5 minutes before releasing it and forgot to change that bonus. I'll sort it out now. It was going to be a top 25 Marvel characters minefield which included DC characters as extra mines for anyone who got mixed up. Then I decided that didn't make any sense so I included DC in the top 25 too (which pushed some of the Marvel characters out of the top 25 and ahead of Scarlet Witch - it makes no difference for most of the messages but obviously makes that one incorrect). Thanks. I'll delete the Scarlet Witch message.

	Fun quiz... I did it about a half dozen times before I gave up and cheated. I too am surprised at the stats for DC characters; even given the name/person distinction, I still would have thought Hal Jordan and Barry Allen (not to mention Wally West) would have appeared more then some of the Marvel guys at the bottom. BTW, you need to update this, as it appears that Daredevil has somehow moved ahead of several others.

	Look, good quiz. 3 stars. But just a error(i think). Ya see, if you type in 'batman' in caps lock, it comes up as batman 2, and some other random guy in the mine place (and it didn't EXPLODe), if this is part of the minefield then sorry, tell me and an 5 star springs up from me as an apology. Good quiz though :)):))
