| I'm loving these babelfish translation games, but now I have to rename my prog-metal band from Railroad of Magnificent Fear to something else. |

| Some of these are brilliant! (5 sporcle orbs just for 'custard') |
 | NatalieTerese: | Jul 10th, 2011 at 19:02 GMT | -2 points |
| I would DEFINITELY listen to band called "Imps" |
 | Disraeli: | Jul 11th, 2011 at 20:31 GMT | 4 points |
| Rotary Pebble is a great band name. |

| My favorites were "Rotary Pebble," "Sound Being Young," and "Drop Boy Outside." |
 | monstro: | Jul 28th, 2011 at 19:29 GMT | 7 points |
| For "Iron Girl," all I could come up with was Tin Lizzy. |
 | Tommy_C: | Jul 28th, 2011 at 19:34 GMT | 42 points |
| Is the Railroad of Magnificent Fear one of those Chinese high speed trains? |
 | WeaselKing1000: | Jul 28th, 2011 at 19:36 GMT | 17 points |
| System Of A Down: The single most irritating, pointless band name in all history. |
 | Cerdog: | Jul 28th, 2011 at 19:40 GMT | 11 points |
| Probably the hardest one of these I can remember. My favourite was probably Contemplation (how anyone got that I have no idea). |
 | Max_Power: | Jul 28th, 2011 at 19:43 GMT | 9 points |
| So 'Hairy Location" isn't a band name?? |
 | barnztormre: | Jul 28th, 2011 at 19:48 GMT | 6 points |
| I tried the Vines for the Twists. The correct answer never crossed my mind. |
 | Tiger2112: | Jul 28th, 2011 at 19:57 GMT | 8 points |
| I was listening to Hasty while I took this quiz and I didn't get it. |
 | volkstraum: | Jul 28th, 2011 at 20:14 GMT | 3 points |
| @Tommy_C: I think I recall one of those Railroads of Magnificent Fear being in the news lately. |
 | muse: | Jul 28th, 2011 at 20:25 GMT | 13 points |
| @cerdog i got contemplation just cos i always type them in in every band quiz i take :) |
 | Tittymac_Maniac: | Jul 28th, 2011 at 20:42 GMT | 9 points |
| Haha I really overthought "Iron Girl" and I thought for sure "Custard" was Cake |
Comment below threshold: show it | mungar: | Jul 28th, 2011 at 21:19 GMT | -9 points |
| 'System of a Down' should really be called 'Syndrome of a Down' to better describe them. |
 | MrCaliChicago: | Jul 28th, 2011 at 21:38 GMT | 7 points |
| I can't help but think what "A Tribe Called Quest" would've ended up being... |
 | Cecispanda: | Jul 28th, 2011 at 23:12 GMT | 3 points |
| I'm with ya, was sure custard was Cake... love the grateful dead one |
 | matt01: | Jul 28th, 2011 at 23:23 GMT | 1 point |
| Pixies, Sonic Youth and Arctic monkeys on a published quiz. Excellent, under-appreciated music. Got a reasonable 11 btw. |
 | doctorwhofan883: | Jul 28th, 2011 at 23:24 GMT | 2 points |
| Questionnaire brilliant, but I was not too good. I only have 10 of 20. (English --> Portuguese --> Norwegian --> English) |
 | Riko: | Jul 28th, 2011 at 23:44 GMT | 3 points |
| I can't believe I missed 'Sound Being Young' and 'Imps'! Two of my favourite bands. Wonderful quiz! Can't wait for the sequel. |
 | MisterF: | Jul 28th, 2011 at 23:45 GMT | 12 points |
| I wonder if people from China translate their own phrases into English and back for entertainment too... |
 | blues95: | Jul 29th, 2011 at 01:23 GMT | 1 point |
| There's an Australian band called Custard. I wonder what happens to them in Babelfish. |
 | donpcd: | Jul 29th, 2011 at 02:41 GMT | 2 points |
| Well that just sucked. And by that, I mean me. |
 | donpcd: | Jul 29th, 2011 at 02:44 GMT | 1 point |
| @MrCaliChicago to answer your question: "The tribe is called the search" is one of the translations i came up with. |
 | Wigs: | Jul 29th, 2011 at 03:19 GMT | 2 points |
| I actually thought of Vanilla Ice first for Custard, not Cake... |
 | Beldasnoop: | Jul 29th, 2011 at 06:06 GMT | 1 point |
| I also guessed Cake for custard, but found the actual answer surprisingly hilarious. |
 | tashmar: | Jul 29th, 2011 at 09:05 GMT | 3 points |
| brilliant quiz, it was tough, but after seeing the answers I was kicking myself - they all made so much sense! |
 | frimbo: | Jul 29th, 2011 at 10:49 GMT | 24 points |
| "Drop Boy Outside" isn't Michael Jackson? |
 | cysion: | Jul 29th, 2011 at 11:24 GMT | 1 point |
| Lol, fuzzy spot xD Awesome band though. |
 | jobean82: | Jul 29th, 2011 at 15:01 GMT | 2 points |
| I guessed the Custard one because interestingly, the French call custard 'crème Anglaise' and I figured it might be similar elsewhere. |
 | NY_MOB: | Jul 29th, 2011 at 17:40 GMT | 5 points |
| "The Assassins" and "The Twists" sound like cool names for a band. |
 | ramona14: | Jul 30th, 2011 at 13:40 GMT | 1 point |
| Ironically, I found the custard one really easy. Probably because I'm English. Contemplation, on the other hand... :@ |
 | BigMac13: | Jul 30th, 2011 at 23:21 GMT | 2 points |
| I first assumed Custard as the general... :/ |
 | BuggritHall: | Jul 31st, 2011 at 18:28 GMT | 1 point |
| Went to Sonisphere Madrid this summer so did translating (via babelfish) the webpages from Spanish to English. Alice Cooper became 'it stakes out Cooper'.. |
 | KerrieBee23: | Jul 31st, 2011 at 23:56 GMT | 1 point |
| hahaha "drop Boy Outside" |
 | xenoglossy: | Aug 4th, 2011 at 15:07 GMT | 2 points |
| You know, a lot of these would make great band names themselves. I am particularly awaiting the debuts of "Rotary Pebble" and "Railroad of Magnificent Fear"... though maybe not "It Arranges of a Low". |
